NuDawn: Lyricist & Entertainer

Meet the "Hypnotic Songstress" vocalist and lyricist, NuDawn whose provocative style lyrically will lullaby your senses and create a melodious atmosphere for you to escape into a pleasurable and thought provoking universe.  When NuDawn is at total peace, you will find her alone, candles glowing and earphones on, creating passionate lyrics that resonate deep within her soul to share with others.

NuDawn’s life long love affair with music exploded into her first step in accomplishing her dream to nationally bring people together from all walks of life. Born and raised near Chicago, NuDawn’s passion for performing was encouraged by her mother at an early age. Her avid thirst for the arts took shape in ballet, gymnastics, tap, jazz dancing and singing in the Church Choir and Performing Arts Program. NuDawn traveled to participate in countless recitals and competitions also participating in the Our Little Miss pageants for the state of Illinois, placing consistently in the top three. Later, she became the lead singer of a teenage band that performed top R&B/Soul cover songs until the band dissolved. She is also a Fitness Instructor, a Wellness Coach and volunteers with young ladies and the elderly.

The “Hypnotic Songstress” soared into the music scene in 2006 with her début project “A Nu Day Dawning” which sold over 4,000 copies worldwide.  In 2009, NuDawn released "Paradise Nu" which opened up avenues to radio interviews, performance opportunities and other types of audio work. Her vocals blend smooth R&B, Neo-Soul, Jazz and Gospel genres harmoniously into a unique style.  Her influences are Sade, Billie Holiday, Gabriella Anders, Diana Ross, Barbara Streisand and Kuh just to name a few.

Although NuDawn took some time away from music for personal reasons, she is currently working on her next project slated to release in 2025.  This will be a compilation of inspirational, jazz and R&B ballads for the purpose of keeping us centered in peace and relaxation during these turbulent and challenging times in our world.

Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.” - Leo Buscaglia
